In the 1950’s the establishment of the Air Force Academy helped resolve the educational needs of Woodmen Valley and Black Forest, creating Academy School District 20. It serves both the civilian and military communities. The District opened one new school each year from 1985 through 1990 and is a growing district today. The availability of seats is often limited so there is no guarantee of a neighborhood school, and some students may require busing. |
